Bought a overnice little bead blaster/air tank recently. Of course the showtime time I'm going to use it it falls off the bench and breaks off a fitting. An ez-out just makes the sparse soft contumely tighter. Volition torch rut make it soft enough that I can poke information technology out of there?

Apply  a piffling estrus to assist intermission it loose,  in case at that place was thread locker or sealer involved.   I've utilise ez-outs  on brass,  and  sure tin can deed like they are getting tighter.     Never had ane   trounce me yet.

Another type of  removal tool is   the  star shaped  kind.     Similar to a   torx,  but with very sharp edges  that  seize with teeth when turned   counter clockwise.   But bulldoze them in,  and  turn the broke office out.

Yous tin really go plumbing nipple extractors. We had a gear up just for cow h2o bowls. (Don't miss those at all)

You could try to take a sharp chisel and endeavor to spin the piece out by hitting from the side. No guarantee with brass but worth a couple smacks.

You could take a hacksaw blade and cutting the brass in two places opposite each other. Not into the tank threads of course. And then a few well placed hits with punch or chisel and you tin can collapse the remnants and out they come.

Dice grinder with a minor bit is what I take used or a hack saw bract if the fitting is big enough for it to fit in. It is contumely and then you don't have to get all the way through it. Once it'due south thin it should pause out. MEJ

Worst case scenario, cut out the whole thing with a hole saw or torch and weld in a new coupler. bushed52

I've had decent luck using a straight blade screwdriver that is a little bigger that the hole. Drive information technology in so it grabs skilful. Clamp a visegrip on what remains of the flat bract to a higher place the pigsty and unscrew. This also works quite oftentimes on removing cleaved off smaller pvc fittings. Speed

Instead of an easy out. Have an Allen wrench or Allen socket. Bulldoze it into the hole. Than you won't be adding force per unit area. rollinsorchards

Just a one/4" fitting so a niggling hard to work inside information technology.

Oh, looked larger.

Very modest triangle file might fit inside to work it smaller.

How solid is the tank? Take a chisel and pound it down into the fitting similar an easy out and put a wrench on it might work if the tank will stand information technology.
